In the final days of World War II, the advancing Allied armies captured a large number of documents from the German and Japanese governments. These documents were taken to various sites in Europe and the United States for evaluation and appraisal. Those documents considered valuable were microfilmed for preservation.

Scope and Contents
This collection is an incomplete set of microfilmed translations of captured German documents mainly relating to supersonic research, swept-back wings, jet-propulsion, patents, explosives, ballistics, missiles, compressors, and other aeronautical subjects. This set contains rolls 1, 3-4, 6, 8-9, and 14. Note: The digital images in this finding aid were repurposed from scans made by an outside contractor for a commercial product and may show irregular cropping and orientation in addition to color variations resulting from damage to and deterioration of the original objects.
