Due to the rapidly evolving field of aviation, Japan formed a committee in 1928, consisting of various military, educational and communication groups, to select and publish an aviation vocabulary reference book. The committee first met in 1928, and went on to meet another 36 times before the book was published by the Japanese Imperial Aviation Association in 1936. The book contains different translations for the same word, and includes such aeronautical topics as airships, airplanes, weather, armament, and equipment. The book contains the following languages: Japanese, a Japanese Roman Character Pronunciation in Roman character, English (and American if different usage/word), French and German.
