On June 27, 1911, Lincoln Beachey flew over Niagara Falls, and under the Falls View Bridge, in his Curtiss Beachey Special biplane. This collection consists of a telegram sent from J. K. Lockwood to Jerome Fanciulli, an early aviation reporter who later worked for Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company, on June 27, 1911 describing that flight, and a black and white photograph showing Beachey flying under the Falls View Bridge.
On June 27, 1911, Lincoln Beachey flew over Niagara Falls in his Curtiss Beachey Special biplane. Beachey flew from the American side of the Falls, dipped low over Horseshoe Falls, and then flew under the Falls View Bridge (also known as Honeymoon Bridge) before landing on the Canadian side. Beachey repeated the flight the following day for the benefit of news photographers.

This collection consists of a telegram sent from J. K. Lockwood to Jerome Fanciulli, an early aviation reporter who later worked for Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company, on June 27, 1911 describing Lincoln Beachey's flight over Niagara Falls that day. The collection also includes a black and white photograph, measuring 5 by 7 inches, showing Beachey flying under the Falls View Bridge. The photograph includes a caption under the image. The image appears to have been copied from a newspaper or other publication.
