Charles Stanley "Stan" Mudge (1923-2017) served in the US Navy during World War II and after the war earned a degree in mechanical and industrial engineering from the University of Notre Dame. Mudge worked for McDonnell Aircraft Corporation in St. Louis, Missouri where his work included testing relating to various types of aircraft armament, landing gear, ejection systems, and testing on the Mercury spacecraft.

This collection consists of approximately 29 photographs relating to Charles Stanley "Stan" Mudge's work with McDonnell Aircraft Corporation. The photographs show a variety of testing activities as well as McDonnell facilities and personnel. They are a mix of black and white photographs and color photographs and are in a variety of sizes, with the largest being 8 by 10 inches. Most of the photographs include caption information provided by either Mudge or his family.
