Biographical / Historical

Russell Cooke (1916 - 2016) was a major in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. Trained at Midland, TX and Maxwell Field, AL, Cooke served in the Pacific with the 5th Bomb Group (including with the 70th and 31st squadrons.) and flew Boeing B-17 Flying Fortresses and Consolidated B-24s. After the war, Cooke was employed by PPG Industries.
