On October 9, 1936, Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei and the Standard Oil Company invited a party of influential businesspeople, politicians, and military personnel aboard the LZ 129 Hindenburg for a ten-hour "Millionaires' Flight" over the fall foliage of New England. This collection consists of a souvenir program from the flight that belonged to Edward Vernon "Eddie" Rickenbacker who was one of the guests.
On October 9, 1936, Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei and the Standard Oil Company invited a party of influential businesspeople, politicians, and military personnel aboard the LZ 129 Hindenburg> for a ten-hour flight over the fall foliage of New England. Dubbed the "Millionaires' Flight," its passengers included Juan Trippe of Pan American Airways (Pan Am); Garland Fulton, Chief of the Lighter than Air Section of the US Navy's Bureau of Aeronautics; and former World War I ace and then-head of Eastern Air Lines, Edward Vernon "Eddie" Rickenbacker.

This collection consists of a souvenir program from the Zeppelin LZ 129 Hindenburg "Millionaires' Flight" that belonged to Edward Vernon "Eddie" Rickenbacker. The cover of the program features a color illustration of the Hindenburg in flight. The program features information about the Hindenburg> and the rest of the Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei fleet, guest list, and menu, and Rickenbacker's ticket for the flight is attached inside the front cover. The cover is autographed by some of the passengers, namely John Carroll Cone, Reginald Mcintosh Cleveland, and Juan Terry Trippe. The majority of the text in this collection is in English. However, the terms listed on the ticket are in several different languages.
