Uncolored aquatint of Mr. Edmund Livingston's descent into the water off of the coast of Ireland. Livingston ascended from the Porto Bello Barracks, Dublin, on June 27, 1822 on a flight to raise money for the Irish poor. He descended in the Irish Sea off the coast of Baldoyle, County Dublin. The basket is shown in the water with Mr. Livingston bracing himself as the wind pulls the balloon. Row boat is on the water in the background. 'London, Published Octr. 1822 by R.
