Infrared spectrometer, built at Cornell; flown on an Aerobee rocket in 1967. Consists of a long aluminum tapered cylinder with bullet shaped tip. The interior, visible through a round aperture near the base, contains the Dewar, optics and other accessories for the infrared telescope.
