This slide-rule type device was handed out to members of the press, contractors, and others involved with the Apollo 8 mission, to give them information as to the various operations of the mission, according to Mission-Elapsed-Time (MET): the time from launch. Apollo 8 was successfully launched on December 21, 1968 and returned to Earth six days and three hours later.
