Black metal instrument. Luminous markings on face: Rear profile aircraft in center; horizon line with pointer; upper half has increment marks, numbered 3 and 6 to right and left of central triangle. Below aircraft profile is embossed Tanaka logo and kanji characters for "artificial horizon". Four mounting screws present. Metal knob at lower left attached by rod to valve at vacuum port. Bracket for knob has kanji characters. Rear of instrument has screen attached with staple. Knurled knob and two vacuum ports with threaded plugs on rear.
