ART-Prints, Original
Print, Lithograph on Paper, Colored
Colored lithograph of the ascent of the Royal Nassau Balloon, piloted by Charles Green accompanied by Edward Spencer, from Vauxhall Gardens, July 24, 1837. The balloon is shown aloft over trees and buildings. Mr. Cocking's parachute is attached below the gondola, and he is waving from the basket. This is the left half of a larger page that had two lithographs side by side. It has at some point been cut in half to display the lithographs seperately. A20140528001 is the right half.
