These 88 bolts (with washers and nuts) were installed on the turbine inlet manifold of an F-1 engine that helped launched Apollo 11, the first mission to land humans on the moon.

The F-1 engine was the powerhouse of the first stage of the Apollo program's Saturn V rocket. Five F-1 engines powered the first stage for around 2.5 minutes, reaching an altitude of around 38 miles. The first stage was subsequently jettisoned and fell into the Atlantic Ocean. In 2013, Bezos Expeditions recovered some F-1 components from the ocean floor.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration transferred the engine parts to the National Air and Space Museum in 2016.
