Display Status:

This object is not on display at the National Air and Space Museum. It is either on loan or in storage.

Collection Item Summary:

These biosensor leads detected and transferred information on heart function for an Apollo 11 astronaut. One lead was placed on the upper chest, while the other was placed on the lower chest. The remaining lead served as a ground for the first two leads. These leads and its accompanying telemetry hardware allowed flight surgeons and doctors to monitor astronaut health during the mission.

NASA transferred this to the National Air and Space Museum in 1979.
