Physical Description
Light-colored wooden box with leather-wrapped metal handle. Two swinging L-clasps latch box shut. Interior has wood build-outs to support Japanese gun sight (removed in preparation for display in 2017), and leather strip to prevent lid from opening too far. One support is itself a box, with 5 holes filled with black foam(?). Metal hinges and clasps, dovetail joints.
