Object Details
Type ART-Miscellaneous Medium Box, Pin Physical Description Round cardboard and glass pin box. Lid has a design of a balloon surrounded by floral motifs done in wires, sequins, and paper that is sandwiched between a flat and a convex piece of glass. The words 'Emporte ma pensée' ("Carries my thoughts") are painted below the balloon. Rest of box is composed of thin cardboard. Sides are gold with a fleur-di-lis pattern, and the bottom of the interior is blue to provide a background for the design in the lid. The bottom of the exterior of the box is lined with a floral paper. Dimensions Overall (dia. x depth): 8.3 × 3.2cm (3 1/4 × 1 1/4 in.)
