The Apollo 11 command module waste management system has systems for containing or disposing urine and feces. For solid waste, a fecal collection device, and a fecal stowage compartment were provided. This stowage container was flown and used on the historic Apollo 11 lunar mission. It was transferred to the Smithsonian in 1970.
