This camera bracket is made of anodized aluminium and was designed to fit into the Remote Control Unit (RCU) on the front of the Apollo spacesuit. It enabled astronauts to attach a Hasselblad camera to their suit and free up their hands for other work. It was possible for the astronauts to operate the camera without removing it from the bracket as well.
This object was found in the NASM collection.
