This special-purpose slide rule was supplied by the engineering firm EG&G Judson, to aid in the design and analysis of radiation measuring and sensing systems using EG&G Judson infrared detectors. Some of these detectors were installed on spacecraft for scientific or military applications. Others were used for ground-based apparatus.
