This is an example of the United States Army officer's service cap used during World War I. This pattern was adopted on January 25, 1912. The cap was transferred to the Museum from the United States Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio. There is very limited information available at this time concerning its user 1st Lt. Jones.
This object is not on display at the National Air and Space Museum. It is either on loan or in storage.
