This is an example of the United States Air Force shade no. 84 wool service coat. Shade 84 was the first blue uniformed issued to USAF personnel in 1947 and was phased out in 1967 by the Shade 1549 verson.

This uniform was worn by the donor while serving with Military Air Lift Command.
