This leather album contains thirteen sterling silver coins commemorating the Apollo I through Apollo XII missions that took place from February 1966 to November 1969. The Apollo XI mission in July 1969 was the first to land men on the moon, while the Apollo XII mission four months later was the second. The Apollo program continued with five more missions, four of which successfully landed men on the moon. The coins were sculpted and engraved by The Franklin Mint of Philadelphia for the Peoples National Bank of New Jersey. Seventy five sets were presented to the astronauts in the Apollo program.
