These Block I Command and Service Modules, CSM 098, also known as 2-TV-1 and 2-TV-2, were originally used for thermal vacuum evaluation testing in the Apollo program. The Smithsonian received title to them on 16 December 1975. In 1977 they were removed from Kennedy Space Center and shipped to Moscow to be part of the Apollo-Soyuz exhibit at the Cosmos Pavillion.
