This is one of the principal consoles at the NASA Kennedy Space Center, which was used to manage the launch of the Space Shuttle. Several rows of similar consoles were arrayed in the firing room at the Center. NASA engineers monitored the status of critical Shuttle functions before allowing a launch to proceed.

NASA transferred it to the Museum in 2012.
