This remote control and display panel works with the ergometer (computer) base of the exercise cycle flown on space shuttle missions for the astronauts' daily workout. It shows speed in revolutions per minute (RPMs), power, and workload, and has two toggle switches for changing speed and power. The panel enables a cyclist to monitor and adjust the workout level while riding the stationary bike; it can be handheld or attached to the front of the ergometer. NASA transferred a complete cycle ergometer kit to the Museum when the shuttle program ended.
