Date c. 1801 Type ART-Prints, Original Medium Print, Etching on Paper, Colored Physical Description Hand-colored etching of fireworks being set off at the customs gate of Chaillot on July 14, 1801. The fireworks are coming from behind a statue sitting on rocks, with a large crowd of observers in the foreground. A balloon is aloft in the upper right corner. Smaller fireworks also appear to be coming from the balloon. 'A Paris chez Basset Md. d'Estampes, et Fabricant de Papier peints, rue St. Jacques, au coin de celle de Mathurins, No. 670.
