This is partial cutaway of a flight controller for the U.S. Navy's Poseideon C-3 submarine launched ballistic missile (SLBM). Several of these controllers sat on the periphery of a platform placed beneath the Poseidon's multiple, independently targeted reentry vehicles (MIRVs). After burnout of the second-stage motor, the controllers collectively acted to twist, slow, or accelerate the MIRVs into the attitudes and velocities prescribed in the mission plan.

Transferred to NASM from the U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Program Office in 1973.
