This small manual contained checklists for both normal and emergency flight operations for the flight of Alan Shepard, the First American astronaut to reach space. His suborbital Mercury flight occured on May 5, 1961, aboard the "Freedom 7" spacecraft.
This object is on display in Destination Moon at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC.
