This instrument floodlight was one of three types of lights installed inside the cabin of the two-astronaut Gemini spacecraft. Instrument floodlights were located at the forward inner edge of each of the two hatches. They had both white and red lights; the red light could be selected when the astronauts wished to protect their night vision. This particular light did not fly in space, but was installed in static test article #5 which was used for water egress training. Grimes Manufacturing made this floodlight and NASA transferred it to NASM in 1971.
