Chesley Bonestell, American, 1888 - 1986 Physical Description
A mat painting for the film, "The Magnificent Amberson." The original was done in back and white. Bonestell retried the painting and added the color. Artist notes on back: "Original painting for garden scene, "The Magnificent Ambersons: second note (by wife?):"Original painting was in black and white. C painted over with colors in about 1979." Final note: "Chesley Bonestell, May 8, 1981." Artist board in stamped: Trojan Illustration Board
