This glove is one of a pair of Extra-Vehicular (EV) gloves constructed during the developmental stages of the gloves eventually used on the lunar surface. They were worn by astronaut Edgar Mitchell during glove trials, and later in training sessions.

The gloves have an extended, uninsulated gauntlet, which was shortened and insulated for the production models. The fingertips are covered with Chromel-R, with the final models having the blue latex fingertips.

Transferred to the National Air and Space Museum from NASA.
