This right full pressure glove is part of a pair made for the Mark IV High Altitude suit used by the U.S. Navy in the early 1950s and is considered the forerunner of the Mercury suit and gloves.

It is constructed with an interior bladder of rubber, and an exterior of green nylon with adjustment straps over the upper hand. The palms are of leather.

NASA Manned Spacecraft Center transferred this glove to the Museum sometime prior to 1973.
