This chrome-plated 10mm telephoto lens, manufactured by Fairchild Space and Defense Systems, was used during astronaut training on the Westinghouse color TV camera that would broadcast activities on the lunar surface. Lenses for spaceflight had to be easy to use by astronauts in bulky spacesuits. They are clearly labeled for their specific use. The polished coating reflected the Sun's heat.
