Lens Cap, 15X, Canon Camcorder, Space Shuttle
This lens cap covers the 15X zoom lens that was used with a Canon 8mm format video camera on Space Shuttle flights in the 1990s until at least 1996. Astronauts could use several interchangeable lenses for different photography tasks.
NASA transferred various cameras and lenses to the Museum when they were no longer needed for missions in space, this cap in 2005.
