These lens caps protect a 3X zoom lens used with the Canon 8mm video camera on Space Shuttle flights in the 1990s. Astronauts could use several interchangeable lenses for different photography tasks.

NASA transferred various cameras and lenses to the Museum when they were no longer needed for missions in space, this one in 2005.
