The Belgian Croix de Guerre was established in 1915 with the same criteria as the French Croix de Guerre. It was awarded to all soldiers of all ranks who were mentioned in dispatches for individual feats of heroism.
This object is on display in Pre-1920 Aviation at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA.
