Pioneer of Aeronautics Medal presented to Alexander de Seversky; Obverse: relief busts of Batholomeu de Gusmao and Santos Dumont depicted; Reverse: embossed text "1959 250th ANVERSARIO DA AEROSTACAO BATHOLOMEU DE GUSMAO 1709 1901 E 53D ANVERSARIO DA AVIACAO 1905 POD SANTOS DUMOUNT"; medal hangs from one piece stamped wings with Armillary depicted in center of wings; purple silk ribbon with green and yellow striped edge.
