This is a scale model (1:20) of the Hubble Space Telescope. The model was constructed at the Goddard Space Flight Center in the model shop. It depicts the HST in deployed format. As such it complements the museum's display of the HST Structural Dynamic Test Vehicle, which is depicted with its extremities (solar panels and antennae) in the stowed position.
NASA transferred this model to the Museum in 2015.
