This is a model of unknown scale of the Aspide, an Italian air-to-air missile based on the U.S. Sparrow air-to-air missile. Carrying a conventional warhead, the missile utilizes a solid-fuel motor and has a maximum speed of Mach 4 and range of 75 kilometers. The Aspide has also been modifed for use as a surface-to-air missile in various weapons systems known as Spada, Skyguard, Albatross, and Aramis.

The manufacturer of this model is unknown. John and Cynthia Heyde donated it to the museum.
