This is a 1:22 scale model of the Thor, a U.S. Air Force intermediate-range ballistic missile built by Douglas Aircraft. Powered by liquid-fuel engines, the Thor carried a single nuclear warhead and had a range of about 3,000 kilometers (2,000 miles). The missile was deployed in England from 1959 to 1964.

Douglas Aircraft built this model and donated it to the museum.
