This is a model of unknown scale of the Vergeltungswaffe 1 (V-1) missile, the world's first operational cruise missile developed and used by Nazi Germany. Powered by a pulse-jet engine, the V-1 had a range of about 240 kilometers (150 miles) and carried a conventional warhead. Beginning in June 1944, the Nazis launched thousands of V-1s at targets in England and Belgium. Because of its relatively slow speed, Allied aircraft were able to destroy a large number of the missiles before they reached their target.

The model's manufacturer is unknown. John and Cynthia Heyde donated it to the museum.
