This is a model of the test stand for the Saturn IB rocket, which stood at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center beginning in 1965. The test stand ensured the performance of the H-1 engines that powered the rocket's first stage. The Saturn 1B launched Apollo test flights, the crewed Apollo 7 mission, the Skylab missions, and the Apollo portion of the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project.

This model is likely a commemorative model of the test stand, most probably connected to the Chrysler Corporation's Space Division, which manufactured the first stage of the Saturn 1B.

In 2019, Robert Yowell donated this model to the Museum.
