The Westinghouse Electric Company designed this small portable monitor to fly in the Apollo command module to help astronauts point and focus the hand-held television camera used for live television broadcasts. This monitor flew on the Apollo 17 mission which took astronauts Gene Cernan, Ron Evans, and Harrison Schmitt to the Moon.

NASA transferred this monitor to the Museum in 1983.
