Physical Description Uncolored stipple engraving of a portrait of Mr. Charles Green (31 January 1785 – 26 March 1870). Image shows Mr. Green from the waist up, with his balloon aloft in the background. Description below the portrait has Mr. Green's name, birthdate, signature, and describes his first ascent on July 19, 1821. It also explains that Mr. Green had made 269 ascents at the date of the publication of this print. ''Pubd. July 9th, 1839, by G.P.
