Among the items issued to astronauts are velcro-backed leather name tags that can be attached to flight suits. This name tag is a spare for European Space Agency Shuttle astronaut, Claude Nicollier, who was a mission specialist on STS-46, STS-61, STS-75, and STS-103.

NASA transferred a number of spare astronaut name tags to the Museum over the years, including this one in 2001.
