Stewardess

Air California, 1960s

Air California introduced Mexican-inspired designs that were meant to reflect California’s Spanish heritage, but which also incorporated 1960s fashions. Thus, flight attendants ended up wearing sombreros and capes along with miniskirts and go-go boots.
