The Apollo 15 survival rucksack #1 included netting designed to protect the astronauts from mosquitos and other small insects in the event that they had to make an emergency landing or mission abort in a tropical climate.
This artifact was transferred to NASM from NASA in 1978.
This object is on display in Human Spaceflight at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA.
