Uncolored aquatint of the New London Bridge at its opening ceremony on August 1, 1831. Scene shows the bridge lined with flags and numerous ships on the water going underneath. Crowds are also on shore watching the ceremony. A balloon flown by Charles Green is aloft in the distance.
