This boot is part of the pair that was worn by various astronauts during training sessions prior to the moon landings in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

The International Latex Corporation made the boot which was part of the astronaut's extra-vehicular (EV) equipment. The EV boots were worn over the boots which were an integral part of the spacesuit, as protection against extreme temperatures and sharp rocks on the lunar surface.
