The launch pad closeout crew members used a small seating chart attached to their forearm for reference in boarding astronauts on the shuttle. This seating chart for the final Discovery mission, STS-133 in 2011, shows the order in which the crew would board and each person's seat assignment. For efficiency, a standard color code shown on the chart marked everything pertaining to each astronaut, such as meal packages, towels, and clothing sets.

The closeout crew chief, Travis Thompson, who gave his uniform to the Museum, included this seating chart for the last crew of the Space Shuttle orbiter that now resides in the Smithsonian.
