To advertise their “16 Pages of Comics", the Saturday Chicago American Newspaper distributed this Buck Rogers lithographed tin button, circa 1934, as well as other comic character pins to promote their publication. At that time, daily or weekly printed comics were the primary means of reaching children and other enthusiasts.

Collector Michael O'Harro donated this button to the Museum in 1993.
